My Outdoor Pets
 |
 |
I named Becky after a lady I spoke with on the phone while setting up utilities for the new home. I mentioned I had chickens and needed some help learning how to raise them. She offered me help and asked that I name one of them after her. Becky is a Plymouth Rock breed of chicken.

My white rooster I named Donald after Donald Duck. Donald is a Brahma with booted feet, which means he has feathers all over his feet.

Foghorn is my other rooster. He was named from the Warner Brothers cartoons. He is also a Brahma and has the booted feet. I've moved him into an area with all the younger hens. He's gaining confidence and is a very happy rooster. Foghorn and Donald now display through the fence at each other showing off for all the hens.

This is a close up photograph of a Frizzle Rooster. In order to keep track of all of our chickens, I have bands around their ankles so I know all of their names.

This is a photograph of my first pygmy goat “Latte” The pony on the right is our neighbor's Shetland pony her name is Chloe. She was hanging out in our pasture to help keep our grass trimmed.

Lu Lu and Sugar Britches were my next set of baby goats. They are brother and sister. They are a bit shy but are getting more comfortable with me petting them. The three goats get along with each other and with the adult chickens.

Spirit is a Shetland pony. I had him gelded this past spring. He loves to run all over my pasture with the goats. I was drawn to him because he reminds me so much of Chloe, the Shetland pony who lives next door.
