As Pet Expectations grows so does its need to try new equipment.  The current engraving machine that I use is from a company called Imarc.  I purchased it in 2005 and at the time it was the only thing on the market.  It has worked amazingly well for what I wanted to use it for.  This is what the Imarc machine looks like:

Because I do a large amount of tags for rescue groups where I do the same tag over and over again, I was on the look out for a machine that would be more user friendly for that type of format.  Imarc's machine has molded plates that the tag has to be pressed into each time to be engraved.  Recently when I attended the Pet Expo in 2008 there were more engravers to choose from than in 2005. 

Thanks to my parents for investing in my business by purchasing a VIP Engraving system for Pet Expectations.  It offers a completely different system of how it holds the tag when it engraves by receiving the tag on several pins through the hole at the top of the tag.  Two separate poles slide up to meet the tag to hold it steady while it is engraved.  This removes the need to have to purchase different molds as new tags are offered and leaves limitless possibilities to what I can offer in the future as new tag shapes are added to their inventory.  The tags are much thicker and they offer 10 different colors in each style.  I will continue to hold onto the Imarc machine because there are several styles that this company doesn't offer that Imarc does.  Larger tag orders that I do for companies will now be processed through this machine as Imarc has put into place a minimum tag purchase of $100.00 per order making it very expensive to place orders.  VIP doesn't have any minimum orders.
